Renewvane

Pricing

Free Leak Check, no card and no Stripe access needed. If it shows the plan would likely pay for itself, a 30 day free trial, then $49 a month. Cancel anytime. A proof report with a 15% holdout group every month.

The paid recovery service is not open yet. Nothing on this site signs you up, takes payment or connects to Stripe. Email hello@renewvane.com to hear when the paid service opens. The prices and terms below describe the plan as it will open.

Free: Leak Check

You read a few totals for the last 90 days from your own Stripe Dashboard (failed payments, recovered payments, your average payment) and type them into the Leak Check. It shows failed dollars a month, what Stripe got back, what is still lost, and your band. The math runs in your browser. We get no access to your Stripe account and never see your numbers.

No card needed. No sign up. No obligation. Later, once our secure connect page is open, you can choose a connected audit that reads your invoices for exact numbers. It is optional and never needed to talk to us.

Who qualifies for the trial

Qualified: your numbers show, on average, at least $2,500 a month of failed payments (the full amount of invoices whose first charge failed, whether Stripe later recovered them or not) and at least 20 failed payments a month. US dollar invoices only.

Borderline: from about $1,500 up to $2,500 a month of failed payments, still with 20 or more failed payments a month. You can start the trial, but we tell you plainly first that the plan may or may not pay for itself at that size.

Not yet: anything below that. $49 a month likely would not pay for itself yet, and Stripe's own tools are likely enough. We say so, offer no trial, and you can run the Leak Check again any time.

The trial runs inside our app, which reads your Stripe account. So it can only start once our secure connect page is open and you choose to connect. The app then confirms your band from your real numbers before any trial, so nobody starts on a typo.

Recovery plan: $49 a month (not open yet)

  • 30 day free trial for qualifying accounts. Stripe asks for a card; you are not charged if you cancel before the trial ends. One trial per account
  • Then $49 a month, billed by Stripe at the start of each month of service
  • Cancel anytime in the billing portal. You keep the plan until the end of the month you paid for. No contract, no setup fee
  • The price is the same whatever we recover. There is no percentage and no success fee
  • A monthly proof report: emailed vs holdout recovery, the cautious lift in dollars, the payments made through our links, and the value compared with your plan
  • Holdout share 15% by default. You can choose anything from 10% to 50%, never lower
  • If a plan payment fails, recovery keeps running for 7 days while you update your card. After that we pause the emails. We never delete your data because of a missed payment
  • Prices in US dollars. Taxes may apply

Sample proof report: one month of holdout math

These are made up numbers chosen to show the arithmetic. They are not a customer result or a forecast.

Say 200 invoices of $50 each fail during August, worth $10,000. Random assignment puts 170 of them ($8,500) in the emailed group and 30 ($1,500) in the holdout. Each invoice gets 21 days to be paid, so the August report becomes final on September 21. To keep the arithmetic simple, July looked exactly like August, and the comparison uses the 60 days ending August 31.

Holdout group recovered within 21 days, last 60 daysStripe retries and customers fixing it on their own, no emails from us$1,200 of $3,000 = 40%
Emailed group recovered within 21 days, last 60 days$10,200 of $17,000 = 60%
Measured lift60% minus 40%20.0 points
Safety marginHow far chance alone could plausibly push the gap with this many invoices. We subtract 1.645 times the statistical uncertainty of the lift.11.4 points
Cautious lift20.0 minus 11.48.6 points
Cautious lift in dollarsAugust's emailed failed dollars, $8,500 × 8.632%$733.71
Evidence checked payments in August22 emailed invoices paid within 7 days of a click, through the Stripe page we opened, with a new card or a bank confirmation$1,100.00
Cautious added recoveryThe smaller of $733.71 and $1,100.00$733.71
Value vs your $49 plan$733.71 compared with $49.00about 15 times

Notice that the raw gap of 20 points on $8,500 would be $1,700. The safety margin brings the credited amount down to $733.71. On small accounts this caution means the report usually understates what our emails really add. That is deliberate: we would rather undersell the result than show you luck.

Same month, if our emails did little

Suppose the holdout had recovered 16 of its 30 invoices each month, about 53.3% over the 60 days. The measured lift is then only 6.7 points, and the safety margin (11.5 points here) is larger than that. The cautious lift is below zero, so the report credits us with $0, even though $1,100 was paid through our links. A report like that is a good reason to cancel, and you can, anytime.

When the holdout is too small to measure

A new or small account may not have 20 holdout invoices that are at least 21 days old yet. We first widen the comparison window, up to 180 days. If that is still not enough, the report says “not measured yet” and shows the raw counts. Honestly, that takes a while. At the default 15% holdout, an account with about 50 failed payments a month usually gets its first measured result in its fourth month, and one with about 30 a month in its sixth month. At about 20 failed payments a month, a 15% holdout would not reach 20 invoices inside the 6 month window, so the app suggests a larger holdout (about 17% or more). You can raise your holdout share to get measured sooner. This is one reason we only offer the plan to accounts with a real monthly volume of failed payments.

What the holdout costs you

Holdout subscribers get no emails from us, so you may recover a little less on that 15%. In the example, if our emails really add the measured 20 points, the 30 holdout invoices ($1,500) missed about $300 of recovery that month. We think that is a fair price for knowing what the plan is worth. Each report shows both groups' numbers so you can judge for yourself.

Why 21 days, 60 days and a safety margin?

Our emails go out over about 9 days and a click counts for 7 days after it, so 21 days gives every invoice, emailed or not, the same full chance to be paid. A single month's holdout is small and noisy, so we compare at least 60 days of invoices, and up to 180 days when the holdout is small. The safety margin stops pure chance from making us look better than we are. All three choices push errors toward a lower number, not a higher one.

Compared with other tools

A third party comparison by Fungies lists Churn Buster from $249 a month, Churnkey from $300 and Baremetrics Recover at $169, as of October 2026. Check their sites for current pricing. Those tools do more than we do, such as cancellation flows and in app messages. We do one thing, failed payment emails, for $49 a month, and we show you a holdout comparison every month so you can see whether it is working.
